Poster 5: "The Purge"

The fifth poster I will be analysing is 'The Purge'

• This film poster has an extremely dark colour scheme. 
• The dominant image consists of a mask which is used consistently throughout the film
• At the top of the poster it states what the producer has also produced previously, it references other films
• The tagline reveals facts about the storyline, that crime is legal
• The release date is also part of another tagline, saying if you survive you can watch it, this draws the audience in to watch the film as they feel a part of the event
• The title is sans serif, like the other thriller posters.
