Poster 3: "Get Out"

The third poster I am going to look at is from the film 'Get Out', I have decided to look at two different posters because I found them completely different and wanted to look at the different conventions.

  •  This poster for the film 'Get Out' is completely black and white, this poster is very similar to the other 2 thriller posters i have looked at.
  • The title is bold and is sans serif
  • The dominant image shows the main character looking extremely scared/uneasy which reveals the genre and the threat of the film to the audience.

This is a different poster for the movie 'Get Out', I have decided to look at it because, unlike the other 3 posters I have looked at, the colour scheme is a lot brighter.
In both posters for this film the same font for the title has been used, different images have been used though.
This film poster still reveals the genre because 4 out of 6 of the images are a darker colour scheme.
The 'smashed' look of the poster is unusual and tells the audience that even though the main actors are smiling on the poster in an image, the film isn't going to be like that. The crack in the poster may show death or things falling apart which reveals the plot.
