Conclusion - Comparing two different trailers

Comparing the differences between different types of trailers for 'Just go with it' and ' A Quiet Place'

Theatrical Trailers are a lot longer then a Teaser or TV spot trailer, Theatrical trailers include a lot more information, storyline and shots than the other two trailers. Teaser Trailer are much shorter than a Theatrical trailer, however can be similar in length to a TV spot. Teaser Trailers will include some of the same shots as a Theatrical trailer although it will be shown a lot faster as they are more quick paced and upbeat to tease the audience more. Teaser Trailers are released a long time before a Theatrical or Tv spot trailer is released, this is to show viewers what the film will be about and tease them into being intrigued by what will happen next. TV spot Trailers are also very short as they fit into a time slot of an advert, TV spots are usually released after the film has been released or very near to the release date, this is to give people excitement so hopefully they will go and see the movie.

The conventions of all the trailers differ considering a Theatrical has more dialogue, more shots and a character may be introduced more deeply, a Teaser trailer will usually have a voice over or some sort of short conversation followed by actions/ upbeat / fast paced shots, almost like a montage, and a TV spot will usually be similar to a teaser trailer within the conventions (although may have completely different shots/ scenes because the film would've been made already)

To conclude, looking at two completely different genres of films and all three trailers I have come to the realisation that more or less the conventions are the same of each type of trailer.
